About Shipment

When importing from China, shipping is a crucial concern, especially for heavy and large building materials. Goods are typically delivered via ocean shipping, and you can choose the container size based on your product volume. In international trade, various container sizes are used, but we commonly use the sizes listed below.

REMARKS: We typically load 20’GP and 40’HQ containers, which can accommodate approximately 26CBM and 66CBM units respectively. It is difficult to determine the exact cubic meters of the goods prior to loading, especially when dealing with various package sizes. Hence, we will need to leave space for 1 to 2 CBM additional units based on the actual capacity, in case some goods cannot be loaded.

For goods which are LCL (less than one container loaded),the price we quote normally is EXW (EX-works) price which only includes supplier’s price and delivery cost to our warehouse.

For goods which are FCL(full container loaded), normally we quote FOB price. If you need us to add the sea freight, CIF trade term are also welcome.

Please check below detailed information for further understanding.

  • 1. EXW( Ex-works)

You must arrange all exporting procedures such as transportation, customs declaration, shipment, documents and so on.

  • 2.FOB (Free on Board):Normally we export from Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Foshan port

For LCL goods,as the price we quote is EXW, customers need to pay extra FOB cost, depending on total volume of the shipment. The FOB fee is same as our forwarder’s quotation, no other hidden cost. Under the terms of FOB,we will handle all exporting process like loading the container, delivery to the loading port and prepare all customs declaration documents.Your own forwarder will manage shipping from departure port to your country. In conclusion, no matter LCL or FCL goods, we can quote you FOB price if you need.

  • 3. CIF (Cost Insurance and Freight)

We arrange delivery to your appointed port. But you need to arrange picking up the goods from destination port to your warehouse and deal with import process. We offer CIF service for both LCL and FCL. For detailed cost, please contact our customer service.

Tips: Usually forwarders will quote very low CIF fee in China to win orders, but charge a lot when you pick up cargo at the port destination, much more than the total cost of using FOB term. If you have reliable forwarder in your country, FOB or EXW term will be better than CIF.
